A graduate of the Indiana Horological Institute, and the second class ever in the United States, the founder M.M. had a passion for watches and jewelry. For over a century, this ideology has passed, father to son, for five generations.
Today, the tradition of excellence continues at Strickland’s. Shelly Strickland III is a fourth generation jeweler and continues to operate the 120-year business with a commitment to honesty, knowledge and consumer protection.
He is a Registered Jeweler-Certified Gemologist, and gives Strickland’s the most up-to-date expertise and knowledge of gemstones. Though tradition has kept Strickland Jewelers in business for the past century, innovation has carried it into the 21st century. Candice is the manager of our Dothan store and comes to us with over 30 years experience in the jewelry industry, where she worked, most recently for Tiffany & Co. in Scottsdale Arizona. Candice is thrilled to return to her roots in Dothan, Alabama, and be a part of the Strickland Jewelers family.
